🔄 How to Reinstall the OS on Your VPS via VMmanager 6

Sometimes it's necessary to reinstall the operating system on your VPS — for example, if you're switching from Linux to Windows, need a clean setup, or want to start from scratch. Bit.Hosting makes this easy through the VMmanager 6 control panel — no SSH or technical knowledge required.

🧭 Where to Access VMmanager

⚙️ How to Reinstall the OS on a VPS

  1. Log in to VMmanager 6: vm.bit.hosting
  2. Select your VPS from the list;
  3. Click the ⋮ (three dots) icon next to the server;
  4. Select “Reinstall OS” from the dropdown;
  5. Choose the desired OS (e.g., Ubuntu, Debian, Windows);
  6. Set a new admin password (for root or Administrator);
  7. Confirm the action — the process takes about 5–10 minutes.

Once the installation is complete, you can connect to your VPS via RDP (Windows) or SSH (Linux) using the new password. Note that all existing data will be erased.
