How to Connect to a Windows VPS (10, 11, Server)

If you ordered a VPS with Windows (10, 11, or Server), you can connect via RDP — Remote Desktop Protocol. Below is a step-by-step guide for connecting from Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.

From Windows: Built-in RDP Client

1. Open the Start menu and search for Remote Desktop Connection, or press Win + R and enter mstsc.
2. Enter your VPS IP address and click "Connect".
3. Enter the login Administrator and the password from your welcome email.
4. Accept the certificate warning when prompted.

From macOS: Microsoft Remote Desktop

Use the free Microsoft Remote Desktop app from the App Store:

• Install the app from the App Store.
• Add a new connection: enter the VPS IP, username Administrator, and password.
• Save the connection and double-click to connect.

From Phone or Tablet

Install Microsoft Remote Desktop for Android or iOS:

• Enter the VPS IP and login credentials.
• Adjust screen scaling and language settings if needed.
• Tap once to connect to your VPS.

Security Tips

• Change the Administrator password after the first login.
• Restrict port 3389 access to your IP using Windows Firewall.
• Use a VPN or gateway if accessing from a public network.
• Enable Windows automatic updates and Defender protection.
